What is the role of the teacher responsible for the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie? What is the role of the class contact? What counts as an energy cube activity? Who can accumulate energy cubes? Understanding
how cubes are calculated

  • 1.

    Students enter collected Energy Cubes in their logbooks everyday. Cubes collected at home are recorded in student’s logbook, while cubes collected at school (during recess, PE classes, etc.are recorded on the school leader (teacher in charge) tally sheet.

    On a daily or weekly basis, the class leader (this can be teacher, parent or student) compiles the Energy Cubes collected by the class and sends results to the Energy Cube Challenge school leader.

    On a daily or weekly basis, the Energy Cube Challenge school leader adds up the total number of Energy Cubes collected by the school* and enters the total on the Planet Cube website. Realtime school ranking is available to the leader to check where the school stands.

    * Total from classes, recess, PE classes, before and after school care and special activities.
