ON THE CHALLENGE

What is the role of the Challenge Leader responsible for the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie at the Energy Cubes Challenge? What is the role of the Class Leader? What counts as an Energy Cube activity? Who can accumulate Energy Cubes? Where are Student logbooks available? Where are the other compiling tools available? (School and Class Leader’s tally sheet, calendar, etc)? How result are compiled? How to calculate the average number of Energy Cubes per students? How are the winning schools chosen?

Understanding
HOW ENERGY CUBES ARE CALCULATED

  • 1.

    Energy Cubes collected at home are recorder in Student Logbooks and Energy Cubes collected at school are recorded through the Class Leader and School Leader's tally sheets.

    Class Leaders gather weekly all Student Logbooks and add to the logbook's total Energy Cubes all extra Energy Cubes collected during teaching hours to the class' total, using the Class Leader tally sheet. These results are then given to the School Leader (who gather every Class Leader results).

    The School Leader gather weekly all Class Leader's tally sheet and record the school's total of Energy Cubes on the Planet Cube (lien pour le site) website.

    * Total from classes, recess, PE classes, before and after school care and special activities.
