how cubes are calculated

  • 1.

Each day, participants record accumulated energy cubes in their logbook. Cubes collected at home are recorded in the student’s logbook, while cubes collected at school (during recess, PE classes, etc.) are recorded on the school contest leader’s tally sheet.

    and families

  • 2.

On a daily or weekly basis, the class contact (this can be a teacher, parent or student) compiles the energy cubes collected by the class and passes on the result to the Energy Cubes challenge school contest leader.

  • 3.

On a daily or weekly basis, the Get Up and Move school contest leader adds up the total number of energy cubes collected by the school*, and enters this number online at Planet Cube. They can then check where their school stands in the rankings.

    * Total from classes, recess, PE classes, childcare and special activities.
